day 3 - habits

day 3 - habits

There are good habits and then there are bad ones. Good ones consist of many things - perhaps writing my thoughts on this blog everyday is a good habit. Cleaning your room every night. Not smoking. These are all typical, everyday, good habits. Bad habits? Chewing your nails when you're nervous. Talking negatively. Smoking. Okay. We know this. These are bad habits, those are good habits. What are your habits? Identify them. Are they good or bad? Of course we all have our own habits. Mine being I point my toes even when not necessary! That good be bad or good. My bad habit? I apologize for nearly everything! I don't have to apologize for my very existence! But what if we had bigger habits, ones that affected other people's lives? How about whenever you saw someone with a long face you smiled at them? You might've helped someone feel loved just because you smiled. Thats an amazing habit. But what if you frowned every time you saw someone looking sad or depressed? What if - because you frowned- they went home and hurt themselves, because your frown, your nasty look, pushed them over the edge of depression. They were done with sadness. So have good habits. Try to make a difference

day 2 - 11:11 and wishes

day 5 - 11:11 & wishes

You might be familiar with 11:11. Its a time, simply a time, but a time we believe is worth something. A time we believe is different. Why? I don't know. Maybe we need to know that there is something worth waiting for every day. Something worth staying up and making us late for school the next day. Do these wishes even come true? I'm not entirely sure. Has your 11:11 wish ever came true? Think about it. Is it worth it? Do we really believe this is what we need, what we want? Do you believe in fairies? Magic? I do. Subtle magic, though. Small things, things so small we don't even realize it affected our life. Wishes are a form of magic, perhaps, but typically we don't get our big wishes. Usually it's the ones we didn't even realize we were wishing for. Maybe a small change in the way you see things, or a small gift. Maybe someones wishing for you to notice them. See that person? There hoping you'll look that way and smile. So maybe we don't only make wishes, but grant wishes. Maybe you should make a wish tonight, at 11:11. Wish for something small, something that'll barely change, but when it does, it'll make more of a difference then you realized.

day 1 - a penny for your thoughts?

day 6 - a penny for your thoughts?

Would you open up your mind to anyone? Your confidant? Your best friend? Your family? Would you- YOU - tell them anything that was going on in your mind, anything that they wanted to know? Most of you would probably say no. Why would you? Why would you let anyone access the miss private parts of your mind? It just doesn't add up, doesn't make sense. They could be offended, or maybe they'll offend you. They might laugh, scoff, cry even.
And you thoughts are something that are yours and yours alone. No, you don't have to share. Your thoughts are yours and yours alone. But what if- yes, I'm going to use the big what if- it might be a way to set you free? Maybe you're so absorbed in your thoughts. Maybe, if you keep all your thoughts bound up, they might be the death of you. Maybe, sharing could be refreshing in a  way. You could be saved, live a better life if you just opened up. Maybe that person next to you needs to open up to someone, to just let go. Maybe, you need to open up and just let go to that person next to you. Leaving yourself suffocating, isolating yourself does not help you. Your thoughts can chew you up and spit you out, make you think you're not wanted. But you are. You're not alone. You're so loved. So just open up.

I'll give you a penny for your thoughts.
